My name is Ricky Carlton, as I'm sure you've probably learned by now. 

I'm a recent graduate of the University of Central Florida, with a B.A. in Digital Media: Visual Language. The Visual Language program is an intensive, two-year program that focuses on animation production and the art of storytelling. Working with a team of 24 other students, I was lucky enough to experience every aspect of animation production as we worked together to create our own animated short, entitled "Atlas' Revenge." During the production, my work and experience led to me being appointed 'Assistant Director' of the film, the highest honor for a student in the Visual Language program.

Throughout college, and now beyond, I've worked as a Graphic Artist in the simulation industry. My responsibilities have included creating various 3D models - highly detailed and low polygon, environment, vessels, hard-surface and organic - and working in 2D packages to create textures, layouts, and other designs.

I hope to pursue a career in a production enviroment, and I hope to do so through a job as a 3D Modeler. I have nearly seven years 3D modeling experience in a variety of packages, and therefore I feel like I can offer a strong skill set to any possible employer. Most importantly, though, I'm a team player and strongly believe that the best creative work is derivative of teamwork.
